Data Scientist

The University of Pittsburgh's Cardiovascular Institute is looking for a Data Scientist who will engage in handling high-throughput data and building computational workflows. The role is integral to a collaborative team, interfacing with both experimental and clinical researchers to test innovative hypotheses developed through data analysis.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Conduct preprocessing and exploration of high-throughput omics and clinical data.
• Install and test bioinformatics tools available to the public.
• Extract clinical and demographic data from public and internal databases.
• Develop a custom database and computational data processing pipeline.
