The University of Washington's UW Medicine IT Services seeks a Data Analyst 2 for a temporary 12-month position. This role is essential for supporting UW Medicine, a renowned health system, by maintaining and enhancing infrastructure and applications across multiple institutions. The Data Analyst 2 will work with a team dedicated to providing top-tier IT support to advance healthcare services.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of clinical application and database tools.
  • Provide guidance and support to medical researchers accessing data services.
  • Consult with researchers to define, design, and deliver complex data sets.
  • Perform analysis, coding, and testing of database and software components.

This role requires you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Over three years of experience in IT end user support.
  • Significant database programming experience with query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in formal software engineering practices, including source control and deployment.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience in clinical research environments.
  • Experience with Visual Studio .NET for object-oriented programming.
  • Strong understanding of database design and requirements analysis.
