This vital role supports systems used by renowned faculty and staff, enabling efficient administrative functions and advancing the University's global research mission. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain database environments and elements.
- Develop SQL queries to meet organizational and ORIS commitments.
- Implement automation to optimize performance and reduce maintenance.
- Manage databases across environments to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide support through all phases including production support.
- Implement regular database backup and retention plans.
- Monitor databases to ensure they meet security and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with teams to align data strategies with business objectives.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 6 years of experience in data engineering and database administration.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database performance tools.
- Proficiency in secure data management and SQL query optimization.
- 2 years of experience in AWS cloud database management.
You would benefit from having:

- Familiarity with Scrum-Agile environment and Workday applications.
- Knowledge of information security standards and frameworks.
