The US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, committed to ensuring consumer protection within the financial sector, is looking for a Data Catalog Analyst. This role is crucial for managing the data catalog tool, ensuring efficient data management, and supporting system updates throughout the bureau. The position is integral to enhancing data governance and aligns with the bureau’s mission to provide transparency and efficiency.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Act as an expert and administrator for the data catalog tool, managing both system and business functionalities.
• Develop and evaluate guidelines for using and administering the data catalog tool.
• Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative and Project Manager for system updates and acquisitions.
• Perform various other related duties as assigned.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience with data management tools such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, or similar.
• Ability to communicate complex system requirements to various stakeholders.
• Experience with federal information management laws including the Privacy Act and Freedom of Information Act.
• IT-related skills such as attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving.
