VAKTECH CORPORATION is seeking a highly skilled Lead/Sr. Data Scientist to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting the data science strategy and roadmap within a fast-paced environment focused on the supply chain, procurement, and inventory management. The position requires a self-starter capable of operating with independence and effectively communicating insights across the organization.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end data science initiatives from conception to deployment.
• Develop and enhance machine learning and statistical models to support business goals.
• Standardize tooling and frameworks for data science processes.
• Evaluate and refine model designs and performances.
• Collaborate with product and engineering managers for solution deployment.
• Provide guidance to less experienced data scientists.
• Educate partners on data science concepts.
• Identify data gaps and work on implementation of enhanced data tracking.
• Share insights and best practices within the organization.

This role requires you to have:

• MS or PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience in Retail or Logistics data science, or 8+ years in eCommerce or Supply Chain.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with large datasets and cloud platforms.
• Strong background in machine learning and statistical techniques.
