Vanguard, a leader in investor innovation, seeks a Senior Data Engineer for its Chief Data & Analytics Office. The role supports the One Vanguard initiative, delivering enterprise-scale data solutions. This position involves collaboration with product teams and leadership to create strategic data products using advanced AWS technologies.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ETL processes and database systems for analytics.
• Troubleshoot data processes ensuring consistency and integrity.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and code.
• Collaborate with internal partners to understand business needs.
• Lead solution development and communicate technical considerations.
• Assess data quality, test code, and serve as a technical consultant.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop data engineering standards.
• Test and implement new software releases, addressing issues with vendors.
• Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

This role requires you to have:

• Problem solving and conceptual thinking.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing.
• Data modeling expertise for optimizing data structures.
• Minimum of eight years' experience in data analytics or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with preference for a graduate degree.
