Analytics Engineer

W. Lee Flowers & Co is hiring an Analytics Engineer to play a critical role in their data management operations. This position focuses on the construction and optimization of data pipelines within the Microsoft Azure environment. The successful candidate will ensure data quality and facilitate business intelligence through precise data models, supporting the company's retail ventures.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Microsoft Azure tools.
• Implement workflows integrating data through SQL, Python, and Azure.
• Develop data models for retail sales, inventory, and customer insights.
• Optimize data structures for efficient querying and Power BI integration.
• Collaborate with teams to address business analytics needs.
• Ensure data models' accuracy and conduct root cause analysis for data issues.
• Work with governance teams to ensure data security and compliance.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in data analytics or engineering roles.
• Proficient in SQL development, data modeling, and ETL pipelines within Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of retail and grocery data, including POS systems.
• Ability to use SQL, Python, and T-SQL for data processes.
