Senior Data Scientist (Sleep)

WHOOP is a leading company in the health and fitness wearable industry, focused on enhancing human performance. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in developing core technology, specifically algorithms that provide members with insights into their sleep patterns. Collaborating with MLOps engineers and the product team, you'll aim to advance the quality of WHOOP's sleep tracking capabilities.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with MLOps Engineers to create and improve services for sleep analysis features.
• Enhance data pipelining and machine learning systems with Data Engineers.
• Research the application of wearable sensors in sleep physiology and performance.
• Design studies to advance the performance of sleep algorithms.
• Act as on-call data scientist to address production service incidents.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years professional experience in a related area.
• Proficient in scientific Python and SQL.
• Experience with time series data applications, especially relevant to sleep.
• Skilled in maintaining live code environments.
