Data Analyst Specialist

The YMCA of Greater Charlotte is inviting applications for a Data Analyst Specialist to join their dynamic Data & Insights team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Data & Insights, the role is crucial for advancing data-driven decisions organization-wide, aligning with the YMCA's core mission to empower communities. The successful candidate will be pivotal in collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data that informs strategic initiatives.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Analyze complex datasets to extract insights and identify trends.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs like membership and program participation.
• Utilize SQL and tools such as SAS for ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for accurate data processes.
• Ensure data integrity across platforms and troubleshoot issues with IT support.
• Create visual data presentations using Tableau or Power BI.
• Present insightful findings to various organizational stakeholders.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights supported by the YMCA's mission.
• Support strategic partnerships for membership, programming, and community initiatives.
• Contribute to advancing data literacy and a data-driven culture.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis roles.
• Proficient in SQL, data analytics, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of Python, SAS, or similar software.
• Experience with CRM systems and data visualization tools.
• Strong communication skills for non-technical audiences.
